Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and who can see it.

The Kaiser Alumni Association ("we," "us") operates this alumni network for graduates of Henry J. Kaiser High School. This page explains what personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Full name, email address, and password
  • Graduation year
  • Legal or maiden name, if you provide one — used only to verify you're a Kaiser alum and never shown publicly

If you fill out your profile, you may additionally provide phone number, LinkedIn, current position/company, a short bio, a profile photo, and an approximate location (shown on the alumni map). All of this is optional and editable by you at any time from Your Profile.

Posts, comments, gallery photos, and mentor requests you submit are stored so they can be shown to other verified alumni.

Who can see it

Directory, profile, feed, and gallery content is visible only to other alumni whose accounts have been verified by an admin — not to the public internet. Admins can additionally see pending signups (to review them) and moderation reports.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use Supabase to host our database and handle authentication, and (if configured) a third-party donation widget on the Donatepage — payment information you enter there goes directly to that provider, not to us. Signing in sets an authentication cookie managed by Supabase; we don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can edit or remove most profile fields yourself at any time. To request a full copy of your data, or to have your account deleted, contact us using the details below — we'll act on deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we need to retain limited records (e.g. for admin/moderation history).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify members.
